Great Ponton C of E School / Ancaster C of E School
Focussing on Trinidad and Tobago, the visits explored the island’s music and in particular the evolution and creation of steel pans in the 1930s. This saw the young people entering into discussion with steel pan expert Francis Mundangepfupfu, about how the pans history can be traced back to the enslaved Africans who were brought to the Caribbean in the 1700s.
