cultural solutions UK is working with the University of Lincoln in acknowledging the social, economic and spiritual contribution of the Windrush Generation to the UK by planting a celebratory tree within the landscaping of the new Medical School building on Windrush Day, 22 June 2021.

 

A Catalpa Bignonioides Nana, or Indian Bean Tree Nana will be planted and is a compact rounded variety of the Catalpa Bignonioides (Indian Bean Tree).

The tree is native to the forests of eastern North America and the Caribbean and first introduced to the UK in 1726.

 

The Medical School will comprise lecture theatres, laboratories, clinical and anatomy suites equipped with specialist diagnostic tools, and a science library. 

Facilities will include dedicated clinical labs and virtual learning spaces (simulating hospital wards or a GP surgery) equipped with the latest virtual- and augmented-reality technologies. 

These will designed to enable students to understand and master the latest technology developments in healthcare.
